INNER-PEACE IS THE DOORWAY TO OUTER-PEACE
COME SIT WITH US

Chicago Med Mob December 9th

Let’s sit on the concourse level of the JR Thompson Center. There are tables, chairs and even a waterfall.

Bring yourself, a cushion, and an open mind. We will quietly meditate for 30 minutes, then chant one continuous sound for 10-15 minutes (read below).

This event is indoors. We will ring bells at 5:30PM to start meditation, again at 6PM to end meditation and to begin continuous sound, and a third time to end the event.

We invite you to join us for all of it, part of it, or come to hang out and bask in the peace. We invite you to come with your own deepest intention for yourself, your community, & our planet. There are plenty of chairs to sit on in case sitting on the ground is difficult for you.

The meditation is a simple, 30 minute, silent meditation followed by a “Sound Bath.” Feel free to say Om, Ong, God, Allah, Ma, Yeah, or any other sound or mantra that resonates deeply within yourself. This part of the MedMob is super fun, impactful, and sounds amazing!

MedMob is a Global Flash Mob Mediation Movement unifying to expand positivity to every walk of life. Every meditator comes with their own deepest intention for themselves, their community, and the world.

MedMobs happen in highly visible places with the intention of exposing and inviting the world to the benefits of meditation and collective prayer. The collective unification of intent and prayer has been proven by numerous studies to increase personal health and lower crime in big cities.

Now imagine the entire world meditating together! This is MedMob’s vision. http://www.medmob.org/

It saddens my heart to see 4 cops doing this expressionless as if they were robots filling out paperwork. It’s unbelievable to me what the establishment can think is acceptable in the name of “justice”… Such distorted minds.. totally lost in power & corruption… abusing humanity as if they are doing nothing wrong. Ive seen stories like this before.. This isn’t the 1st & it wont be the last… until we decide to participate in the evolution of a better world. So many problems & injustice. But what undermines them all? Love. Kindness. Respect. Empathy. Compassion.

These police are just foolish tools.. products of an unhealthy humanity. That means you, me & everybody else. How can we help the situation when we ourselves are lost in the abyss of the collective dream? Time to stop pointing the finger & wake ourselves up!

OceanFloor Mala

Posted by: | Comments (0)
Zendless Knot Studios
~
Made a new mala awaiting its new home! Check out details @ my Etsy Page; Zendless Knot Studios*

~

OceanFloor MalaOceanFloor Mala 1

This beautiful 108 unique gemstone mala is a ready for its new friend.

This mala was made an “icy & clear” feel then during the process it emerged with an interesting level of warm life to it. I know the perfect person will be in love with this mala.

Materials:
All the materials I use are high quality & made with lots of love* The Guru Bead OceanFloor Mala 2has been custom drilled for this mala.

This mala is made of the fallowing gemstone beads:
WHITE AGATE (6mm)
SNOW QUARTZ (8mm)
WHITE CALCITE (8mm)
LABRADORITE (8mm)
Custom drilled 10mm BLUE CORAL Guru Bead

Strong poly waxed beading cord (soft white)

Tassel:
Shades of soft white, several ambient turquoise & grey, accented with a touch of dark turquoise blue, with 2 hidden 4mm pure white agate stones in center of tassel. Also a touch of natural bamboo twine in the additional ornamentation.

Craftsmanship:
These malas are not simply turned out for the sake of making money. I am an artist & each mala is created as if it were a sacred painting. I choose only the best materials to work with & I go the extra mile to make a mala worthy of honoring your life as well as the dharma.

However, you do not have to be a “Zen Buddhist” to enjoy this wonderful mala. If it encourages positivity in your life, that’s all that matters. It can be worn around the wrist, around the neck as a necklace, or kept on an alter & reserved for use during meditation practice.

OceanFloor Mala 3Energy:
I do not personally adhere a particular stone energy system in regards to various meanings of stones because I feel this can easily fall into the arena of superstition. I come from a more intuitive perspective & advocate to go with whatever feels right for the individual. That said, all is made up of energy & each elemental object is composed of its own unique field of energy & karma. So if a particular color, texture, material, stone, or particular object calls out to you, listen to your own intuition & answer the call!

I am a lay monk in the Zen tradition & I have made it my practice to start each mala off with lots of positive energy & karma. I am devoted to practicing Zen Mind when making my malas with complete presence, positive intention & with love in every detail. I have also spent time practicing & meditating deeply with this mala. I also sat with this mala on 11-11-11 for Chicago’s first public street meditation event. It feels as though this mala was made for a deep meditator with a clear mind; hence the name “Ocean Floor”, to go to the depths of the inner-self where it is dark & icy cold & discover the hidden life untouched by most. I have put mind & emotion energy into sending out positive support for the wonderful person who receives this mala. Specifically wishing to help this person find deep incite into the nature of things & waking up to her/his deepest nature growing in capacity to help others.

Thank you & I’m looking forward to sending this mala to the right home.

If you would like a particular custom mala. Let me know & I can make the right mala for you! :)

Endless Bows,
~Sou Fugon Mugen
